The short version

Corewise collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network code of any kind. Nothing you enter leaves your iPhone.

What is stored on your device

  • The cook you are currently solving: the food, the shape, the thickness, the starting temperature, the water bath temperature and the target core temperature
  • Any cooks you choose to save
  • Your preferences: temperature unit, length unit, and whether you have seen the introduction

All of it is held in your iPhone's own storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere, because the app never opens a network connection.

No location, no camera, no microphone, no health data

Corewise asks for no system permissions at all. It has no reason to: everything it does is arithmetic on the numbers you type in.

Purchases

Corewise offers one optional purchase, Corewise Complete. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details, and Apple gives us no personal information about you as a purchaser.

Analytics and third party code

There is none. Corewise contains no third party software development kits of any kind: no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, no crash reporting. The app is written entirely against Apple's own frameworks.

Deleting your data

The Settings screen inside the app removes your saved cooks. Deleting the app removes everything else it stored.

Children

Corewise has no accounts and collects no data, which makes it suitable for all ages under its 4+ rating.

Your rights under the GDPR

Because Corewise processes no personal data outside your own device, and we as the developer receive none, there is no data held by us for you to access, correct, export or erase. Your data is under your control on your iPhone at all times.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
