Privacy Policy for Daymark

Daymark - Birthday Reminders Published by OFO Labs

Summary

Daymark does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. The app operates entirely on your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. No data ever leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Specifically, Daymark does NOT:

  • Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Collect usage data or analytics
  • Track your location
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Require user accounts or registration
  • Send data to any server, first-party or third-party
  • Use advertising identifiers
  • Use any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking frameworks
  • Track you across other apps or websites

The only network activity in Daymark is Apple's StoreKit communicating with the App Store when you make or restore the optional in-app purchase. That exchange is handled entirely by Apple.

3. Data Storage

Everything you create in Daymark is stored locally on your device in a private app group container shared only with the Daymark home screen widget. This includes:

  • The people you add, including any photo you attach
  • Important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries
  • Reminder preferences, draft messages, and action notes
  • Gift ideas and the history of gifts you have given
  • Preference notes such as favorite foods, hobbies, or allergies
  • App settings, including your chosen currency

This data exists only on your device (and in your personal iCloud backup if you have enabled device backups through Apple). We have no access to it.

If you delete the app, all locally stored Daymark data is permanently removed from your device.

4. Photos

If you choose to attach a photo to a person, Daymark reads that single image from your photo library at the moment you select it and stores a copy locally with that person's record. Daymark requests photo library access only for this purpose and never browses, uploads, or analyzes your library.

5. Notifications

Daymark schedules local notifications on your device to remind you about upcoming dates. These are created and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No notification content is sent to any server. Notification permission is optional and the app remains fully usable without it.

6. Purchases

Daymark Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. OFO Labs never sees, receives, or stores your payment information. Whether you own Daymark Pro is recorded on your device and verified with Apple's StoreKit framework.

7. Export and Import

The Export feature creates a JSON file containing your Daymark data and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. You choose the destination, and you are responsible for the file once it leaves the app. The Import feature reads a file you select. Neither passes through any server operated by OFO Labs.

8. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to anyone, because we never receive it in the first place.

9. Children's Privacy

Daymark is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because Daymark collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, the CCPA, and similar regulations, you have rights to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. With Daymark these rights are satisfied directly on your device: all of your data is already in your possession and under your control. You can view and edit it in the app, export it as a JSON file, delete individual records, or remove everything by deleting the app. There is no data held by us to request or erase.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and included in a future app update. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
