Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Gigback. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gigback, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

OFO Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gigback for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

What Gigback Does

Gigback examines your photo library on your device and groups photos that appear to be duplicates, near-duplicates, screenshots, blurry shots, or large videos. It presents these groups to you for review.

Gigback never deletes anything on its own. Deletion happens only after you select photos, confirm in the app, and then confirm again in the alert presented by iOS.

Deletion and Recovery

When you confirm a cleanup, Gigback asks iOS to move the selected photos to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. Photos remain there for 30 days and can be restored by you during that period.

Gigback cannot access, empty, or permanently delete anything from Recently Deleted. Emptying that album, and therefore actually reclaiming storage space, is something only you can do in the Photos app.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing what you select before confirming a deletion. Gigback's grouping is an aid to your judgement, not a substitute for it.

Detection is automated and imperfect. Photos identified as similar, blurry, or duplicated may not be what you would call similar, blurry, or duplicated. Always look before you confirm.

Keep backups. As with any change to your photo library, an up-to-date backup through iCloud Photos, a computer, or another service you trust is your protection against mistakes. OFO Labs strongly recommends having one before any large cleanup.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for the loss of any photo, video, or other content, however caused, including loss resulting from your use of Gigback. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Purchases

Gigback Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It unlocks additional cleanup groups and tools within the app. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by OFO Labs.

Purchases are tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on any device signed in to that account.

Privacy

Gigback collects no data. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Changes to These Terms

OFO Labs may update these terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
