Please read these Terms of Use before using Glareless. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Glareless, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Glareless is a photo scanner for iPhone. You sweep a page of a photo album three times from slightly different angles, and the app replaces every glare hot spot with the pixels a different pass saw cleanly, then finds each print on the page, cuts it out and corrects its perspective. Everything runs on your device and the app makes no network requests of its own.

Purchases

Glareless is free to download. Scanning one print at a time, with the full glare fusion, has no limit and costs nothing.

Glareless Pro is a single in-app purchase that unlocks whole-page scanning with every print cut out separately, colour restoration, reading the date off the back of a print, and batch export. It is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription, it never renews, it never expires, and there is nothing else to buy inside the app. There are no credits, no consumables and no advertising.

Payment is handled by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account. A purchase is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices from inside the app.

What the app promises

Colour restoration works from the white border of the print itself: the border was paper white when the print was made, so the colour cast it carries now can be measured, and the app removes exactly that. It does not invent colour, it does not repaint or reconstruct anything in the photograph, and a print with no usable white border is reported as such and left alone rather than guessed at.

The glare fusion needs the reflection to move between passes. When a hot spot stays in the same place in every pass, no pass saw those pixels cleanly, and the app tells you so and asks for another sweep instead of returning a page it cannot fix.

Your photographs

Your photographs are yours. Glareless stores scans only on your device and never uploads them. It is your responsibility to keep your own backups of anything you value; deleting the app deletes the scans it holds.

Acceptable use

Do not decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the app. Do not use the app to reproduce material you have no right to reproduce. These are the ordinary terms; nothing unusual is intended by them.

Disclaimer and liability

Glareless is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including loss of scans not backed up elsewhere. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/glareless/terms with a new date.
