Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Language Diary. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Language Diary, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

OFO Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Language Diary for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

The Service and AI-Generated Content

Language Diary helps you learn languages by analyzing diary entries you write. Corrections, explanations, vocabulary, and review cards are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for learning assistance only. While we strive for quality, AI output can contain errors; it is not professional language instruction, translation, or advice, and we do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

Submitting an entry for analysis requires an internet connection and depends on third-party AI services. The service may be temporarily unavailable, and we may apply fair-use limits (including daily analysis limits) to keep it available for everyone.

Your Content

Your diary entries belong to you. They are stored on your device and transmitted to our backend and OpenAI only for the moment of analysis, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you write and agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or to submit content intended to abuse, overload, or disrupt the service.

Data and Storage

Language Diary stores your diary and learning data locally on your device. OFO Labs has no access to this data and is not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, app deletion, or iOS restores. You can export your diary at any time with the export feature. We recommend keeping your device backups enabled if you wish to preserve your diary.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Language Diary offers an optional Premium upgrade as an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly or yearly. All payments are processed by Apple.

  • Premium unlocks up to 10 analyzed diary entries per day (instead of 3 per week on the free plan) and full diary export.
  • The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • If your subscription lapses, your diary, review cards, and progress remain fully accessible; only the premium gates (higher entry limits and export) apply again.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

Intellectual Property

Language Diary and its design, features, and functionality are owned by OFO Labs and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Language Diary is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. OFO Labs does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that AI-generated corrections will be accurate. Your use of the app is at your sole risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFO Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Language Diary, including but not limited to loss of data, reliance on AI-generated content, or interruption of service.

Termination

OFO Labs may terminate or suspend your access to Language Diary at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms will be reflected on this page. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from the use of Language Diary shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
