What Overair is, and what it is not
Overair is a PREDICTION tool. It estimates which broadcast television stations are likely to reach a given address in the continental United States, by running a published propagation model over a bundled elevation map and a bundled list of licensed transmitters.
It is not a measurement. Overair has no way to know about the trees in your garden, the metal in your roof, the building next door, the aerial you own, the cable running from it, or the tuner in your television. Real reception may be better or worse than Overair predicts, sometimes considerably.
Coverage is the continental United States. Alaska, Hawaii, the United States territories and every other country are not included.
Mounting comparisons are typical figures. The differences shown between indoor, attic and rooftop mounting are published typical values for ordinary construction, not a measurement of your house.
Do not rely on Overair alone for a purchase, an installation, a construction decision, or anything else that would be costly to get wrong. Treat it as an informed starting point.
Purchases
Overair offers one non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks additional features permanently on the Apple Account that bought it. It is a single payment, not a subscription, and nothing renews. Purchases are made through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
Acceptable use
You may use Overair for your own purposes, personal or professional. You may not decompile it, resell it, or redistribute the bundled datasets as a product of your own. The datasets themselves are United States Government public domain works and you are free to obtain them from their original sources.
No warranty
Overair is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or reliance on its predictions.
The propagation model is a port of software published by the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences, an office of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. NTIA provides that software as a public service and makes no warranty about it. NTIA does not endorse Overair. Overair is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by NTIA, the Federal Communications Commission or the United States Geological Survey.

These terms may be updated. The current version always appears on this page.
