Please read these Terms of Use before using Reefline. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Reefline, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Reefline is an aquarium water chemistry simulator for iPhone. It models the nitrogen cycle, dissolved oxygen, pH from carbonate hardness, and the parameter windows of twenty four fish and invertebrate species, across twelve scenario tanks and a sandbox. It is a simulation and a teaching tool. It is not advice about a real animal in a real aquarium, and it must not be used as a substitute for the judgement of a keeper, a retailer or a veterinarian. Everything runs on your device and the app makes no network requests of its own.

Purchases

Reefline is bought once, up front, from the App Store. It contains no in-app purchase, no subscription, no consumable and no advertising, and it never will. Everything in the app is in the download: all twelve tanks, all twenty four species, the reef tanks and the sandbox. Payment is handled by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account.

What the app promises

Nothing in Reefline's model is random. Every loss is explained by the parameter that caused it, the reading it reached and how long it stayed out of range, and the same actions on the same tank always give the same result. If you ever find a tank that behaves differently from what the app tells you, write to us: that would be a defect, not a design.

Acceptable use

Do not decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the app. These are the ordinary terms; nothing unusual is intended by them.

Disclaimer and liability

Reefline is provided as is. It is a simulation and nothing in it is advice about a real animal. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/reefline/terms with a new date.
