Privacy Policy for Roomful

The short version

Roomful does not collect anything. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your inventory is stored on your iPhone and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. It never reaches a server belonging to OFO Labs, because there is no such server.

What Roomful stores

Everything Roomful holds is something you entered yourself:

  • Rooms you create and their names
  • Items: name, category, brand, model, serial number, purchase date, value and notes
  • Photographs you take or choose
  • Receipts, warranties and appraisals you attach
  • A record of when you last exported a report

Where it is stored

On your device, in the app's own storage. If you are signed in to iCloud, the same data syncs through CloudKit's private database, which is part of your personal iCloud account. Apple provides that storage. OFO Labs cannot read it, list it, or recover it.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, Roomful works exactly the same way and keeps everything locally.

Photographs and text recognition

When you photograph an item, Roomful looks for text in the picture to suggest the brand, model and serial number, and may try to identify the object itself.

All of this happens on your iPhone, using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No photograph is uploaded anywhere for analysis. Nothing about the contents of your pictures is sent to us or to any third party.

What we receive

Nothing. We have no servers, no database and no way to see your data. We do not receive crash reports containing your content. We cannot tell how many items you have recorded or what they are.

Apple may share aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics with us, such as download counts and whether a purchase was made. That information comes from Apple, never from the app, and never identifies you.

Purchases

Roomful Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details. The app only ever learns whether a purchase exists on the Apple Account signed in on the device.

Third parties

There are none. Roomful contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting SDK and no third-party payment provider.

Children

Roomful is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Settings > Delete everything removes every room, item, photo and document from the device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the local copy.

Because we never had a copy, there is nothing for you to ask us to delete.

If this policy changes, the updated version appears at https://ofolabs.net/roomful/privacypolicy with a new date at the top.
