The short version

Sluiceway collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network code of any kind. It works on an aeroplane, and it would work the same if the internet went away.

What is stored on your device

Which levels you have cleared, and which you cleared inside their dig budget
The cheapest cut you have managed on each level
Your Daily Hillside streak and the date of the last one you finished
Whether you have sound and haptics on

All of it is a few hundred bytes of preferences held in Sluiceway's own container in your iPhone's storage. There is a Reset all progress button in Settings that removes it, and deleting the app removes it too.

What we receive

Nothing. We have no server, no database and no log. We cannot see how far you have played, how often you open the app, or whether you have opened it at all. This is not a policy we could quietly reverse in an update: there is no code in the app that opens a network connection, so there is nothing to switch on.

Permissions

Sluiceway asks for no permissions at all. It does not use the camera, the microphone, your location, your contacts, your photo library, notifications or Bluetooth. It does not use the advertising identifier and does not ask for tracking permission, because it does not track.

Purchases

Sluiceway is bought once from the App Store and that is the whole transaction. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription in the app, so there is nothing for us to know about your payment. Apple handles the purchase and gives us no personal information about you.

Analytics and third party code

There is none. Sluiceway contains no third party software development kits of any kind: no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, no crash reporting. It is written entirely against Apple's own frameworks, and every level, sound, texture and picture in it was made for this app.

Children

Sluiceway is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children. It is not marketed to children and is not in the Kids Category, but there is nothing in it that would be unsuitable: no chat, no links out of the app except this policy and our own site, no advertising, and nothing to buy.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, the change will appear here and in the App Store listing before it ships.
