Doubletake: Spot Differences Published by OFO Labs

Last Updated: September 2026

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Doubletake. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Doubletake, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Doubletake builds two copies of a small papercraft diorama, changes five things between them, and asks you to find the five. Both copies can be rotated together, so a difference can be hidden behind a building until you turn the scene. Every diorama is generated on your device from a number, so the scenes do not run out and none of them is downloaded.

What We Promise About the Scenes

This belongs in the terms rather than only in the marketing, because it is the whole product.

Before any scene reaches you, the game has checked, by projecting the geometry and measuring it:

  1. There are exactly five differences.
  2. Every changed piece is visible. It covers a real fraction of the model, either from the resting view or from at least one of the eight positions you can turn the scene to. A difference you could not possibly see is never used.
  3. No two differences touch the same piece or neighbouring squares, so one marker never hides the next answer.
  4. A colour change always changes the pattern too. Stripes become dots, dots become checks. The game is playable without colour vision.

If you ever meet a Doubletake scene where a difference cannot be seen from any angle, or where two differences sit on top of each other, that is a defect and we want to hear about it. Email ofolabs@gmail.com with the world and the scene number, both of which are printed at the top of the screen.

The lens narrows the search: it turns the scene toward a difference you have not found. It never marks the answer, and it is available on every scene without limit and without cost.

Purchases

Doubletake is free to download. The Harbour and Village Square worlds are complete and free forever, including all fifty numbered scenes in each, the unlimited generated scenes beyond them, the rotation, and the lens.

All Worlds is a single one time purchase. It opens the Farm, Market, Workshop Yard and Garden worlds, Sharp Eye mode and the archive of past Daily Dioramas. It is not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing expires, and there is nothing to cancel.

The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to your device. Restore Purchase in the settings brings it back on any device signed in to the same account. All payment is handled by Apple; refunds are Apple's to decide and are requested through Apple, not through us.

Game Center

The Sharp Eye leaderboard uses Apple's Game Center and is entirely optional. Apple's terms apply to it. We may remove a score we believe was produced by tampering with the app.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, not to redistribute it or its assets, and not to use it in any way that breaks the law where you are.

Intellectual Property

The app, its code, its prop designs, its palette and its name are the property of OFO Labs. No third party artwork, model, sound or trademark is used anywhere in it: every prop is built from primitive shapes in code and every sound is synthesized from oscillators.

Disclaimer

Doubletake is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is a puzzle game. It makes no claim to train, measure or improve your vision, attention, memory or any other faculty, and nothing in it is a medical or diagnostic tool.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above changes when we do, and continuing to use the app means you accept the updated version.
