About
Farwind is a one touch glider set in an endless desert at dusk. Your rider races a sand sled across the dunes with a small kite on a line: hold the screen to press into every downslope and gather speed, let go on the rise and launch into the sky. The wind itself is drawn in the sky as luminous ribbons of air current, and meeting one at the right angle hooks the kite in, so the ribbon carries you silently over whole valleys until you choose to drop. Landing parallel to a downslope is a perfect landing; three in a row fire a speed burst that pushes back the sandstorm rolling in behind you, and a dive held straight into a rising dune ends the run. A run travels from dusk into a starlit night and on toward dawn, through open ergs, rocky mesas, salt flats and oasis palms. Daily Dunes gives every player the same course on a given date with a faint line of your best run, Zen Dunes removes the storm and the score, and sixty goals in twenty sets unlock six riders and a fennec fox companion. Every course is generated from a seed and proven flyable by the game's own flight planner before it can be played. Bought once, with no in app purchases, no advertising, no account and no analytics; progress stays on the iPhone and Game Center leaderboards are optional.
