Summary

Gridworks does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. The app contains no networking code of its own. It works fully offline, including in aeroplane mode.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Gridworks has no account system, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. We operate no servers. There is nowhere for information to be sent, even if we wanted it.

3. The boards need no server

All twenty four scenarios are built into the app, and the terrain for each one is generated on your own device from a number stored in the app. The Daily Grid is computed the same way from the calendar date, so two phones on the same day produce the same board by computing it, not by fetching it. Nothing is requested and nothing is sent.

4. What the app stores on your device

Which scenarios you have cleared, how many stars you earned, your best Daily Grid population and your sound, haptics and display settings are stored locally on your iPhone. This information is included in your own encrypted iPhone backups if you have backups enabled. Those backups are between you and Apple. We never receive a copy.

5. Game Center

Game Center is optional and the whole game works without it. If you choose to sign in, Apple's Game Center handles your identity, your nickname and the leaderboard entirely. Gridworks sends one number, your best Daily Grid population, to Apple's leaderboard service. We never see your Game Center identity and we store nothing about it. Declining Game Center removes nothing from the game.

6. Purchases

Gridworks is bought once from the App Store and contains no in-app purchases. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or any part of the transaction beyond Apple's aggregate sales reports, which contain no personal information.

7. Children

Gridworks is rated 4 and up and is safe for any age, but it is not directed at children and is not in the Kids Category. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

8. Third Parties

Gridworks embeds no third-party SDK of any kind. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no attribution service and no crash reporter. The only Apple services the app touches are Game Center, if you choose to use it, and the App Store for the purchase itself.

9. Your Rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete. Deleting the app removes everything Gridworks has stored, immediately and completely.

10. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of data.
