About
Every other pocket city builder gives you one happiness number. Gridworks draws the three networks underneath it. You zone a town on a fixed twenty by twenty eight grid, and then flip between three live overlays that show exactly where it is straining. Traffic routes every trip over your road network and colours each segment by how close it is to capacity, so an over-capacity junction is a place you can see rather than a statistic: widen it to an avenue, or open a second route, and the whole corridor cools. Power pools your generators across the road network they are connected to and serves blocks in order of their distance from the nearest one, painting amber the blocks sitting on the last slice of capacity, so you see the brownout a month before it happens. Water runs pressure out from each pump along the roads, dropping with distance and dropping hard with every step of elevation, and a tower on high ground re-boosts the far end. One rule ties all three together: power and water travel under roads, so nothing works until it touches one. Twenty four scenarios run across four terrains, and every population target and par month count in the game was produced by running an automated reference planner over the shipping engine, so no board asks for something the game cannot deliver. A seeded Daily Grid gives everyone the same board each day. Every run ends with a debrief that draws your growth curve against the target and names the network that actually bound you.
