Privacy Policy for Hushloom

Summary

Hushloom does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. Every sound is synthesized on your device, the app makes no network requests of its own, and no data ever leaves your iPhone.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Specifically, Hushloom does NOT:

  • Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Collect usage data or analytics
  • Track your location
  • Use the microphone or record any sound
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Require a user account or registration
  • Make network requests of its own
  • Send data to any server, first-party or third-party
  • Use advertising identifiers
  • Show advertising of any kind
  • Use any third-party SDK, analytics tool, or tracking framework

3. Data Storage

Everything Hushloom remembers is stored locally on your device in Apple's UserDefaults. This is:

  • The sound you played last (noise colour, cuts, layers and their levels), so it is ready next time
  • The sounds you save, with the names you give them
  • Your last sleep timer length and fade length
  • Whether the gentle fade in is on, and whether you have seen the first run hints

This data never leaves your device. It is removed when you delete the app.

4. Siri, Shortcuts and the Lock Screen

Hushloom offers Siri and Shortcuts actions to start a built in sound, start your last sound, or stop. When you use them, iOS runs the action inside the app on your device. Now Playing on the Lock Screen shows the name of the sound that is playing. Hushloom sends nothing to Apple or anyone else for these features beyond what iOS itself handles.

5. Purchases

Hushloom is bought once, up front, from the App Store. It contains no in-app purchase and no subscription. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and we receive no information about you from the transaction.

6. Children

Hushloom is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, of any age. It is not part of Apple's Kids Category.

7. Third Parties

Hushloom contains no third-party code, no advertising network, no analytics provider and no crash reporting service. Nothing about you is shared with anyone, because nothing about you is collected.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none. Everything Hushloom stores is on your own device, under your control, and is deleted with the app.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/hushloom/privacypolicy with a new effective date.
