See every force as you build

About

Most bridge games only tell you it broke. Loadpath names the member that failed, the axial force it was carrying, the capacity it actually had, and the percentage by which you under-sized it. It solves the statics of your truss while you are still building it, so every member is coloured by the force it carries, red for tension and blue for compression, and drawn as thick as the load it takes. Drag one joint down two squares and the whole picture recolours, and you know it will hold before you press anything. No other bridge game shows you the forces before you commit, and none gives you an engineering verdict afterwards. The numbers are real: a global stiffness matrix, a Cholesky factorization, axial force per member, and Euler buckling for anything in compression, which is why a timber strut carries 200 kN at two metres and 56 kN at four. Cables carry tension only and go slack when the load moves away from them, and the solver finds that active set rather than assuming it. Road deck bends between its supports, so panel length is a real constraint and a four metre panel fails under the rear axle. Four materials do three different jobs: cable is the cheapest capacity in the game and only pulls, timber is cheap and short, steel is expensive and holds the long struts timber would buckle, and road deck is the only thing you can drive on. Sixty gorges across five regions, from a millstream you cross with two triangles to a flooded canyon with a rock roof over it, and every one of them was built by the game's own solver before it shipped, so a par you cannot reach does not exist. A generated Daily Span arrives every calendar day, the same one for everybody, with a leaderboard scored by what your bridge cost. Stress test mode raises the load until something gives and reports the failure load in kilonewtons. Bought once: no advertising, no timers, no lives, no currency, nothing further to buy, and it works with no connection at all.

Features

  • The load path overlay: every member coloured and thickened by the force it carries, live while you drag
  • A real solver: stiffness matrix, Cholesky factorization, axial forces and Euler buckling
  • The verdict screen names the failed member, its force, its capacity and the margin
  • Four materials with three genuinely different jobs, and a budget that punishes the wrong one
  • 60 gorges in five regions, every one certified solvable by the game's own optimizer
  • A Daily Span every calendar day, the same for everyone, with a leaderboard scored by cost
  • Stress test mode reports the exact load at which your bridge gives way
  • Bought once, works offline, no account, no advertising, nothing further to buy
