Privacy Policy for Lodefield

Summary

Lodefield does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device and makes no network requests of its own. No data ever leaves your iPhone.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Specifically, Lodefield does NOT:

  • Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Collect usage data or analytics
  • Track your location
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Require a user account or registration
  • Make network requests of its own
  • Send data to any server, first-party or third-party
  • Use advertising identifiers
  • Show advertising of any kind
  • Use any third-party SDK, analytics tool, or tracking framework

3. Data Storage

Everything Lodefield remembers is stored locally on your device in Apple's UserDefaults. This is:

  • Which boards you have closed, and your best time and fewest mistakes on each
  • Which of the nine rules you have met, so the rule journal fills itself in
  • Your Daily Seam streak and the date of the last Daily Seam you closed
  • Your settings: the clock, mark mode, ore glyphs, sound, music and haptics

This data never leaves your device. It is removed when you delete the app.

4. Game Center

Lodefield offers one optional Game Center leaderboard for the Daily Seam streak, and two optional achievements. Game Center is Apple's service, not ours.

  • Using it is entirely optional. The whole game works without ever signing in.
  • If you do sign in, Apple sends your streak number and achievement progress to Apple's Game Center service. We never see your Apple Account, your name, or any other detail about you.
  • Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
  • You can turn Game Center off at any time in the Settings app under Game Center.

While your device is offline, a score waits in a small local queue and is sent the next time Game Center accepts it. That queue holds nothing but a number and a date.

5. Purchases

Lodefield is bought once, up front, from the App Store. It contains no in-app purchase, no subscription and no consumable of any kind. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and we receive no information about you from the transaction.

6. Children

Lodefield is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, of any age. It is not part of Apple's Kids Category.

7. Third Parties

Lodefield contains no third-party code, no advertising network, no analytics provider and no crash reporting service. Nothing about you is shared with anyone, because nothing about you is collected.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none. Everything Lodefield stores is on your own device, under your control, and is deleted with the app.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/lodefield/privacypolicy with a new effective date.
