Please read these Terms of Use before using Lodefield. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lodefield, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Lodefield is a deduction puzzle for iPhone. Numbered cells count the ore around them, and you clear stone and mark ore until the seam is read. Every board in the app is generated so that pure deduction closes it, and the app can show you the reasoning: the clue cells that force the next move, an arrow into the cell they force, and the name of the rule that does the forcing. Everything runs on your device and the app makes no network requests of its own.

Purchases

Lodefield is bought once, up front, from the App Store. It contains no in-app purchase, no subscription, no consumable and no advertising, and it never will. Everything in the app is in the download: all five seams, all 120 boards, the Daily Seam, the rule journal and the Why button. Payment is handled by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of your App Store account.

What the app promises

Every board Lodefield ships has been closed by a solver using deduction alone before it was included, and the solver is the same engine the Why button uses. A board that required a guess was not shipped. If you ever find a position in a shipped board that cannot be resolved by deduction, write to us: that would be a defect, not a design.

Game Center

The Daily Seam leaderboard and the achievements are optional and are provided by Apple's Game Center. The game is complete without ever signing in.

Acceptable use

Do not decompile, reverse engineer or redistribute the app. These are the ordinary terms; nothing unusual is intended by them.

Disclaimer and liability

Lodefield is provided as is. It is a puzzle game and nothing in it is advice of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/lodefield/terms with a new date.
