Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Onscript. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Onscript, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Onscript is a teleprompter that records video. It shows your script in a band at the top of the screen, under the front lens, and records you reading it one paragraph at a time. Each paragraph is a beat, each beat keeps every take you make of it, and the app joins the take you kept for each beat into one finished video. Everything happens on your iPhone.

What We Promise About the Recording

We put this here rather than only in the marketing, because it is the whole product.

Every take is a real recording written to a real file on your device. The silence trimmed from each end of a take is measured from that take's own audio, not estimated. The finished cut is assembled from the kept takes themselves over their trimmed ranges, in beat order, and its length is the sum of those trimmed lengths. No frame in the export comes from anywhere other than the takes you recorded.

Voice follow uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Where a device or a language cannot recognise speech without a network, the feature is not offered rather than being sent away.

Purchases

Onscript is downloaded without payment and includes a complete teleprompter: unlimited scripts, the band and all of its controls, auto scroll, the countdown, rehearse, the front and back camera, recording a whole script in one take, and exporting that recording.

Onscript Pro is a single non-consumable in-app purchase, not a subscription. It adds exactly four things:

1. Recording beat by beat, with as many takes of a paragraph as you want.
2. Cutting the kept take of every beat into one video.
3. Voice follow.
4. Mirror mode and landscape export.

Purchases, refunds and family sharing are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Recordings you have already made stay visible and playable whether or not the purchase exists.

Your Content

There is no account, no upload, no sharing service and no user-generated content service in Onscript. Your scripts, your takes and your finished videos are yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to record and publish whatever you record.

Intellectual Property

Onscript, its code, its artwork and its name belong to OFO Labs. You may not copy, decompile, redistribute or resell the app or any part of it. The sample scripts inside the app are ours and are provided for you to practise with.

Disclaimer

The app is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app, including any loss of a recording. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
