Summary

Sleuthly does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. The app contains no networking code at all. It works fully offline, including in aeroplane mode.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Sleuthly has no account system, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. We operate no servers. There is nowhere for information to be sent, even if we wanted it.

3. The daily case needs no server

Everyone gets the same case each day, and that happens without anyone reporting anything to us. The case is generated on your own device from the calendar date, so two phones on the same day produce the same clues by computing them, not by fetching them. Nothing is requested and nothing is sent.

4. What the app stores on your device

Your progress on a case, your times, and whether you have purchased Sleuthly Pro are stored locally on your iPhone. This information is included in your own encrypted iPhone backups if you have backups enabled. Those backups are between you and Apple. We never receive a copy.

5. Sharing a result

If you tap Share, Sleuthly hands a short line of text to the iOS share sheet: the case date, the difficulty, your time and how many hints you used. It never contains the grid or the solution.

What happens next is your choice. If you send it in a message or post it somewhere, that service's own privacy policy applies from that point. Sleuthly never shares anything on its own.

6. Purchases

Sleuthly Pro is a single purchase handled entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. The app asks StoreKit whether this Apple Account owns the purchase and stores nothing about you beyond that answer.

7. Children

Sleuthly is suitable for all ages and is rated 4+. It contains no user-generated content, no chat, no social features, no external links and no advertising. Because the app collects nothing and transmits nothing, no information about any player is ever received by us or by anyone else.

8. Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes all of its data. Since nothing was ever sent to us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and nothing for you to request.

9. Third parties

There are none. Sleuthly contains no third-party SDKs, no frameworks that phone home, and no embedded services.

10. Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of data.
