Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using Sleuthly. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sleuthly, developed and published by OFO Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The App

Sleuthly generates a logic grid case each day and lets you solve it. Everyone gets the same daily case, computed on each device from the calendar date rather than downloaded. It runs entirely on your device.

What We Promise About the Cases

We think this belongs in the terms rather than only in the marketing, because it is the whole product.

Every case Sleuthly presents has been checked, before you see it, against three things:

  1. It has exactly one solution.
  2. It is reachable by deduction alone. Cases that would require guessing or trial and error are discarded at generation and never shown.
  3. Its clue set is minimal. Every clue is load-bearing: remove any single one and the case can no longer be solved.

If you ever find a Sleuthly case that has two valid answers, that cannot be finished without guessing, or that contains a clue you did not need, that is a defect and we want to hear about it. Email ofolabs@gmail.com with the case date.

Hints state the reason a pairing is forced. They are derived from the same logic that checks the case, so a hint will never contradict the solution, and it will not lie to you even if you have made a mistake earlier in the grid.

Your Progress Lives Only on Your Device

Your times and progress stay on your iPhone. We never receive them.

That has a consequence worth understanding: if you delete the app or lose your device, your history is gone, and we cannot recover it for you. We have no copy. Keep iPhone backups enabled if your records matter to you.

Purchases

Sleuthly is free to download. Today's daily case is free every day, with no limit, no timer and no advertising, and it will stay that way.

Sleuthly Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks the archive of past cases, unlimited extra cases, and unlimited hints. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

Acceptable Use

Use Sleuthly for your own enjoyment. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, and do not use it in violation of any applicable law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Sleuthly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OFO Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of or inability to use Sleuthly.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page with its last updated date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
