Summary
Stitchplot does not collect, store, transmit or process any personal data. The app contains no networking code at all. It works fully offline, including in aeroplane mode.
Your photos are read on your iPhone to build a chart. They are never uploaded, because there is nowhere for them to go.

2. Data Collection
We do not collect any data.
Stitchplot has no account system, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. We operate no servers.
3. Your photos
When you choose a photo, iOS hands that single image to the app. Stitchplot reads its pixels, works out which thread colours match, and builds a chart. All of that happens on your iPhone.
Two things worth stating plainly, because photo apps are the place people are most often misled:
The app does not ask for access to your photo library. iOS shows you a picker, you choose one image, and only that image is shared with the app.
The original photo is never stored by the app and never leaves your device. What is saved is the chart: which thread goes in which square, plus a small preview so your library of charts is browsable.
4. What the app stores on your device
Your charts, their titles, your progress through them, and whether you have purchased Stitchplot Pro are stored locally on your iPhone. This is included in your own encrypted iPhone backups if you have backups enabled. Those backups are between you and Apple. We never receive a copy.
5. Sharing a chart
If you export a chart, Stitchplot renders an image and hands it to the iOS share sheet. What happens next is your choice. If you send it in a message or post it somewhere, that service's own privacy policy applies from that point. Stitchplot never shares anything on its own.
6. Purchases
Stitchplot Pro is a single purchase handled entirely by Apple's In-App Purchase system. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name. The app asks StoreKit whether this Apple Account owns the purchase and stores nothing about you beyond that answer.
7. Children
Stitchplot is suitable for all ages and is rated 4+. It contains no user-generated content shared with anyone, no chat, no social features, no external links and no advertising.
8. Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data. Since nothing was ever sent to us, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and nothing for you to request.
9. Third parties
There are none. Stitchplot contains no third-party SDKs, no frameworks that phone home, and no embedded services.
10. Thread colours
Thread codes and names refer to widely published identifiers stitchers use to buy thread. The colours shown on screen are approximations for preview and matching only. Thread colour depends on dye lot, fibre and lighting, so no digital value can be exact. Stitchplot is not affiliated with or endorsed by any thread manufacturer.
11. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of data.
