The short version

Strobeframe collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network code of any kind. Nothing you enter leaves your iPhone.

What is stored on your device

  • The clip you are currently working on, and the frames extracted from it, held in the app's own storage while you work
  • Your settings for that stack: the mode, the number of copies, the spacing and the blend
  • Whether you have unlocked the paid features

All of it is held in your iPhone's own storage. None of it is transmitted anywhere, because the app never opens a network connection.

Camera and photo library

Strobeframe asks for two permissions, and only when you first use the feature that needs them.

  • Camera. Used to record the short clip you want to stack, and for nothing else. Recording happens entirely on your iPhone.
  • Photo library. Read access is used to load a video or a set of photos you pick, and add access is used to save your finished photograph back to your library. Strobeframe reads only the items you choose in Apple's own picker; it does not browse your library.

Your clips and photographs are processed on your iPhone and are never uploaded. Strobeframe contains no network code at all, so there is nowhere for them to go.

Strobeframe asks for no location, no microphone, no contacts and no health data.

Purchases

Strobeframe offers one optional purchase, Strobeframe Complete. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details, and Apple gives us no personal information about you as a purchaser.

Analytics and third party code

There is none. Strobeframe contains no third party software development kits of any kind: no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, no crash reporting. The app is written entirely against Apple's own frameworks.

Deleting your data

Loading another clip replaces the frames the app is holding, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. Photographs you saved to your own library stay there, because they are yours.

Children

Strobeframe has no accounts and collects no data, which makes it suitable for all ages under its 4+ rating.

Your rights under the GDPR

Because Strobeframe processes no personal data outside your own device, and we as the developer receive none, there is no data held by us for you to access, correct, export or erase. Your data is under your control on your iPhone at all times.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
