Strobeframe makes the photograph you cannot take with a phone: one frame with the same person frozen a dozen times across it, arcing through a jump, a trick or a dive. On a real camera that shot needs a tripod, a darkened room and a timed flash sequence, which is why it reads as professional. Here it needs three seconds of video, which you probably already have. Point it at a clip and it does three things in order. It lines every frame up, so a handheld shot stacks as cleanly as one from a tripod. It builds a clean background by taking the middle value at every pixel across the frames, which deletes the moving subject and leaves the scene it moved through. Then it compares each frame against that background to cut the subject out, keeping shadows where they belong instead of slicing them off, and draws the copies back over the background in the order they happened, so later copies pass in front of earlier ones and the picture reads in a direction. The control you will actually use is one dial. Drag it from two copies to twenty four and the copies multiply along the subject's arc under your thumb, live. Long exposure is here too, complete and unrestricted: max blending for light trails at night, averaging for silky water and thinning crowds. Nothing you save is ever watermarked. There is no account, no sign in, no server and no network request of any kind, and your clips never leave your iPhone.
