Privacy Policy for Wetpress

Summary

Wetpress does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device and makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing you paint ever leaves your iPhone unless you share it yourself.

2. Data Collection

We do not collect any data.

Specifically, Wetpress does NOT:

  • Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Collect usage data or analytics
  • Track your location
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Require a user account or registration
  • Make network requests of any kind
  • Send data to any server, first party or third party
  • Use advertising identifiers
  • Use any third party SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking frameworks

3. Data Storage

Everything Wetpress makes is stored locally on your device:

  • Paintings you choose to keep, held in Apple's SwiftData framework
  • The sheet currently on the easel, saved as a file inside the app's own container so that closing the app does not lose your work
  • Your brush, pigment and paper preferences

This data exists only on your device, and in your personal iCloud backup if you have device backups switched on through Apple. We have no access to it. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently.

4. The Photo Library

If you export a painting and choose to save it to your photo library, iOS asks your permission at that moment and the image is written by the system. Wetpress never reads your photo library and asks for no access to it. Sharing a painting anywhere else goes through Apple's standard share sheet, and what happens after that is governed by whichever app you send it to.

5. Purchases

The one time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or any identifier connected to them. Apple tells the app only whether this Apple Account owns the unlock. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

6. Third Party Services

Wetpress uses only Apple provided frameworks: SwiftUI, Metal, SwiftData, StoreKit and UIKit. There are no third party libraries in the app at all.

7. Children

Wetpress is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it collects none from children either, and it complies with COPPA and with the GDPR's provisions on children's data by collecting nothing.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete or export. Your paintings are already in your hands, on your device, and you can export them at any time.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at https://ofolabs.net/wetpress/privacypolicy with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a change in what happens to your data.
